Biafra_Chukwuma Nwandugo_Ebonyi State AA governorship candidate aploud Appeal court for MNK release
ABAKILI - Engr. Chukwuma Nwandugo, the Action Alliance's (AA) candidate for governor of Ebonyi State in 2023, has praised the Court of Appeal's decision on Thursday that freed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, from all charges.
Nwandugo, a former commissioner for works and transportation in the state of Ebonyi, referred to the court decision that freed Nnamdi Kanu as historic and said it might give the Igbo people the impression that the Nigerian government never forgets about them.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was released and acquitted by Nigeria Appeal CourtKanu's release, he believes, will bring some measure of peace and cohesion to Igbo land.
"I, Engr Chukwuma Nwandugo, Governorship Candidate of the Action Alliance in Ebonyi State, describe Kanu's release as a historic event in Igbo history," he said.
