The Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Thursday, struck out the terrorism charges filed against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by the Nigerian government. The court struck out all the remaining seven charges against Mr Kanu. It followed an earlier ruling of the trial judge, Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja, in April dismissing eight of the 15 amended counts filed against him by the federal government. Nwandugo, a former commissioner for works and transportation in the state of Ebonyi, referred to the court decision that freed Nnamdi Kanu as historic and said it might give the Igbo people the impression that the Nigerian government never forgets about them.   ABUJA– According to a civil society organization working under the auspices of the Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF), Nigeria would experience a workforce shortage as a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities' (ASUU) ongoing strike. This occurred at the same time as the organization claimed the public university lecturer strike was having an impact, notably on engineering, research, and development.
