Litigation won't resolve the ASUU strike in any meaningful way, according to AYGF

 


ABUJA– According to a civil society organization working under the auspices of the Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF), Nigeria would experience a workforce shortage as a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities' (ASUU) ongoing strike.


This occurred at the same time as the organization claimed the public university lecturer strike was having an impact, notably on engineering, research, and development.


In this regard, the organization made an appeal for both the federal government and ASUU to change their positions, claiming that this was necessary for the benefit of the students, parents, and the country as a whole. Read ASUU latest condition to end strike


Speaking to the media about the development, Dr. Arome Salifu, executive director of AYGF, said it was not essential to go to court considering previous experiences.
